Jermaine Gordon is the eighth child of both parents Beatrice and Ira Gordon. He grew up in rural St. Andrew where he spent most of his life. He now resides in St. Catherine with his family.
His Parents are Christians and from a very early age they taught him the principles of the Bible.
He is a professional Accountant and is currently employed to Kingston Container Terminal as a Junior Manager.
Jermaine Gordon has been playing music from as early as age four in the island of Jamaica. He has traveled to The United States, Canada and other parts of the Caribbean playing music, speaking, conducting workshops, Ministering in Youth Revivals and Camps and leading God’s people into intimate worship.
At his church he is known as a ‘Psalmist’ for his unique talent and gift in composing a full song on the spur of the moment, spontaneity at its best. Jermaine D. Gordon is known for his anointed music and his ability to invoke the presence of God when his gifted fingers meet the ebony and ivory keys of the piano.
He is a Classical Pianist and Flautist who studied with the Royal School of Music ABRSM and Jamaica School of Music among others. He writes most of his songs at their home in St. Catherine,
He is one of the National Directors of music for The Church of God of Prophecy in Jamaica and Grand Cayman.
He is a worship leader at his church and spends a great deal of time teaching others about worship and music.
Jermaine Gordon has created numerous quality writings on various topics, including poetry and songs.
Jermaine discovered his talent and love for writing in his early teenage years while attending high school (Kingston College). This was in the 1980s, when pen friend communication was a very popular and fulfilling hobby for many young Jamaicans.
Jermaine is also an accomplished musician, composer, arranger, singer and music producer. He spends most of his leisure time training and coaching people to sing, and has been a Director of Music for over ten years in several Churches.
He is highly motivated and is able to transfer his enthusiasm to the attendees of his energized motivational presentations. He has travelled to many schools and colleges across Jamaica sharing in their devotion, speaking on music and motivation. He empower others to be their best.
He believes there is nothing as important as people, and that everyone is special. With over 20 years of experience in writing he has dedicated his first book, “The Color and Power of Your Thoughts – Inspiring, witty and motivating words”, to those in search of a meaningful life.
